Hi! Iโ€™m Angela, founder of Ignite Pilates. With a bachelorโ€™s degree in exercise science and over 20 years of experience teaching Pilates and yoga, I feel truly blessed to inspire and empower others on their wellness journeys. As a busy mom to four active girls, I understand firsthand the challenge of juggling family life while prioritizing health and fitnessโ€”and I am here to help you find that balance!

My vision for Ignite Pilates is about so much more than just fitnessโ€”itโ€™s about creating a welcoming, supportive space where people can discover the transformative power of Pilates. This workout isnโ€™t just great for your bodyโ€”itโ€™s gentle on your joints, boosts mental clarity, and delivers real results, no matter your age. Watching others uncover what Pilates can do for them, both physically and mentally, is one of my greatest joys.

Tish

Hi, Iโ€™m Tish! Originally from Maryland, I made the move to Texas in 2019 and have loved every moment since. My greatest role is being a mom to three amazing boysโ€”ages 24, 11, and 9. As a special needs mom to an autistic son, his incredible resilience and spirit have profoundly shaped my journey and inspired the creation of Bregman Cares, a foundation dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.

A few years ago, in my quest for self-care and fitness, a friend introduced me to the Lagree method. With my background in gymnastics, cheer, and kickboxing, I was immediately hooked. Fast forward to over 800 classes later, and I realized I wanted to do moreโ€”I wanted to teach! My goal is to help others feel strong, confident, and achieve goals they never thought possible. Iโ€™m passionate about pushing people beyond their comfort zones, just like Iโ€™ve done for myself.

Today, I can honestly say Iโ€™m healthier and stronger than I was in my twenties. My son inspires me every single day with his tenacity, hard work, and incredible heart. If he can tackle challenges head-on, so can Iโ€”and so can you!

Christine has built a successful career in employee benefits while balancing her true passion for health and fitness. As a dedicated full-time professional and a mom of two active sons, Christine understands the importance of staying healthy and finding balance in life.

When it comes to fitness, Christine is particularly passionate about Pilates. She credits this transformative workout with changing her body composition faster than any other routine she's tried, and she loves sharing its benefits with others. Whether you're new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, Christine is eager to help you achieve your personal fitness goals with her expert guidance.
Outside of her professional and fitness life, Christine is devoted to raising her two sons alongside her husband. She believes her family is her greatest accomplishment, and their active lifestyle fuels her passion for helping others live healthier, more balanced lives.

Marissa

Hi! My name is Marissa. I am an Austin native, but have lived in the Houston area since 2018, where are my two daughters were born. I became an instructor in 2023 & have loved every minute! Teaching and taking classes has changed my outlook on working out. I used to look at it as a punishment, now I see it as a privilege! Movement is medicine!

When you take my classes expect an amazing, challenging workout with upbeat playlists (pop, hip-hop, and a little worship, because... balance!). Canโ€™t wait to meet you all & IGNITE your love for Pilates!

Nicki

Hi, Iโ€™m Nicki! A proud Texas native, Iโ€™ve called Katy home since 1997. Iโ€™m a beer enthusiast, a die-hard college football fan, and a dog mom to two small pups who keep me on my toes!

I discovered Pilates in 2023 and was instantly captivated by its transformative power. As someone living with an autoimmune joint disease, finding a low-impact, high-intensity workout that strengthens my body without stressing my joints has been life-changing. My love for Pilates grew so much that I decided to become an instructor to share its benefits with others!

My goal as a teacher is to help you get the most out of every workout, challenge yourself, and embrace those signature shakes that mean youโ€™re building strength. Before finding Pilates, my fitness background included competitive year-round swimming from age 9 through college, so I know the value of dedication and hard work.

When Iโ€™m not teaching, I work full-time as an oncology nurse at MD Anderson, where I see the importance of prioritizing both physical and mental health every day. Pilates has become my escape and my reset, and Iโ€™m excited to help you experience those same benefits. I canโ€™t wait to meet you and help you fall in love with this workout as much as I have!

Katherine

Born and raised in Houston, I grew up riding English equestrian, but it wasnโ€™t until I discovered Pilates that I truly found my fitness groove. Pilates has been a game-changer for meโ€”itโ€™s my 45 minutes of โ€œmeโ€ time, and itโ€™s completely transformed my body. I have more core strength now than I ever did, even before having kids. It leaves me feeling accomplished, energized, and ready to take on the world.

What I love most about teaching at Ignite is the community weโ€™ve built. My classes are all about creating a supportive, high-energy environment where everyone feels welcome, no matter where theyโ€™re starting from. Expect a fun vibe and a playlist thatโ€™ll keep you motivated from start to finish.

My goal is to help you unlock your full potential, push your limits, and feel strong and empowered in your bodyโ€”just like I do. Letโ€™s dive into Pilates together and discover just how much youโ€™re capable of!

Keri

Hi, Iโ€™m Keri! My fitness journey began in my early 20s during graduate school in Ohio, where I discovered a love for running and weight training. After having kids, running took a backseat, but moving to Katy in 2011 reignited my passion. I joined a Bootcamp, which eventually led me to train for the inaugural Katy Half Marathon. Over time, I completed three half marathons before a health scare caused me to pause.

In 2021, I found my way back to fitness through Pilates. With my knees no longer tolerating running, I sought a new path centered on wellness, strength, and bone health. Pilates became that path. Two and a half years later, I became certified and started teaching as an instructorโ€”a role Iโ€™m incredibly passionate about.

When Iโ€™m not teaching or chasing after my two busy teenagers (one of whom is off to college soon!), I enjoy reading, traveling, crocheting, and relaxing with my catsโ€”though quiet moments are rare these days!
